Sam Zlydaszyk Verbally Commits To Play Baseball at Grand Rapids Community College

Eastern High School is pleased to announce that senior captain Sam Zlydaszyk has verbally committed to play baseball and continue his education at Grand Rapids Community College.  Sam was recruited as a pitcher by the Raiders.  Grand Rapids Community College is regarded as one of the Top Division II Baseball Junior Colleges in the country.  They have won an amazing 5 NATIONAL TITLES including three in a row from 2003-2005.

Zlydaszyk, the smooth left handed pitcher has been having an outstanding senior season for the Hawks.   Sam currently leads the team in innings pitched, has a 1.50 ERA, and an amazing  

WHIP at .896.  As outstanding as Sam has been pitching, he also bats leadoff and is leading the team with a .506 on base percentage.

Sam is the son of Tom and Debra Zlydaszyk of Grand Rapids
