Jeff Betz Commits To Play Baseball at Jackson College

Forest Hills Eastern Baseball is pleased to announce that Senior Jeff Betz has committed to play baseball at the NJCAA level for Jackson College. Jeff was recruited as a pitcher. Jackson College, Coached by Rick Smith is a college known for sending pitchers on to the next level. The Jets compete in the MCCAA, Michigan Community College Athletic Association. Jackson College Baseball and Coach Smith continue to grow their program and players. Coach Smith, during his tenure, has produced over 135 players that have moved on to four year universities, 21 plus players to D1, 8 plus professionals, and 7 All Americans. Jackson College has qualified for the Region 12 Tournament 9 years in a row and were also MCCAA Champions in 2009.

Jeff is excited about his decision to play baseball and continue his education at Jackson College for the Jets while continuing to keep his goals of playing at a four year university intact. Jeff, the hard throwing captain, is currently leading his team in almost all pitching categories. He currently 6-1 with a 1.068 ERA. Jeff averages 9 strikeouts per game.

Jeff is the son of Dave Betz and Sandra Doty.
